Hi,everybody,above is my drawing,below not my drawing ya.I'm very happy because I can recognize many very3 best,good,nice,friendly,funny,interesting and perfect friends and lecturer in Taylor Design School. This semester is almost finished,but we must continue semester2,3,4......,it is very long time.I am very grateful everybody can teach me many things.Last,I hope everyone dream can come true.Because we are the best.Kampateh,all design school student.

HEYY... Liyana here. :)

After weeks and weeks, wait.. MONTHS and months; this is my second post.

Anyhoo, Time flew prettttty fast and our first semester is ending.

Met loads and loads of interesting people and I am beyond thrilled to meet them. :)

( I am 100% serious) &&&&&& don't forget the lecturers ;)

I was thinking.. Why did I join this course, to be REALLY honest it wasn't my first choice; but again I checked and surveyed a few other courses but my eye and heart wanted this course so badly. I was quite stubborn actually. The reason wasn't because I liked doodling 'stuff' (especially during school hours in class) or cool 'fancy schmancy' art work from other designers or trying to look cool ; Okaay.. back to the point, Mainly because I was ACTUALLY interested on learning

the pre-production / post-production of the designs in those advertisements / covers or the inspiration that 'inspired' those designers especially those that are successful and I was sort of moved? by that. I am just a curious person wanting to find something new. I am not pulling your leg. This is the truth.

At first, I was SURE that I couldn't do it , pessimistic right? Anyway, Doing those assignments gave me a BIG HUGE slap on the face. I was shocked, REALLY shocked that I wasss capable of doing it. However! It was a challenge for me and I learned that in this business, you have to work HARD and smart to accomplish something great and even though I do most of my work at the last minute; you can't really afford doing that especially when you start working. It's not like (in malay terms) " boleh goyang kaki" Well I guess in english it's easy breezy?

But I accept that and I don't mind cause I feel motivated especially if someone compliments your work.

I feel like all the paper cuts, panda eyes, feeling fatigue, redo work, rejected work PAID OFF.

I even learned that, life is never a straight road with nothing on the way, there are always obstacles and you are FORCED to face it. I realized in this life I am in right now doing design made that statement quite apparent for ME.

I am thankful that we have really good lecturers. Mr Charles obviously stated that design isn't JUST interesting and made me think way waaaay deeper and Mr Ernesto REALLY REALLY REALLY helped me on my drawing. Seriously, I can't draw that well, that's why I said doodle. and I know that I 'think' creatively with mind maps and colours and hats cause of Ms chee. ahah Anyways, I can actually see the difference from the 'old' liyana to the 'NEW' and improved liyana :D

Let's say... Our "sifu's " taught us well. FYI, I'm not trying to bodek you guys. ;p

KUDOS to EVERYONE in class! For their effort and hard work. :)

This is a bloooody long post ahhaha

I guess I shall stop here.

well its me dennis^^ the sem is gonna end and everyone is working very very very hard!!! I guess~^^ so i have no idea design will make me so tired by just thinking== its like your brain just over heated or something like that.But that was not all, the design class was very nice, everyone is super friendly and funny. even the lecturers are funny and good^^.The work is the thing that will kill you and if u like bags u will love the eye bags if u have to stay up all night to finish your work.but finally in the end i've learned a lot of cool stuff that my lecturers tought me and the nice part is, design students can see things in a diffrent way.hehe i think thats all i can say for now^^ from: dennis toh

I felt lik time pass faster than i know ..
drowning myself wit assignments that i think it will take me forever to complete it ..
but , OMG , i'm done !!

I din really realise wad i'm capable in before i enter tis course ..
I just know that i like graphic stuff n din really think further more bout it ..
after getting into this course .. i was lik OMG .. can i really do it ?
cuz after mixing around wit so many kind of ppl ..
so many different kind of thinking ..
so many kind of style ..

I suddenly felt that wad i know is so little ..
abit unsure whether tis is my path , but i still move on ..
n i din regard it .. cuz i learn alot ..
yea .. i learn how differently ppl thinks ..
how to c things in other ways ..
how to be independent .. by taking KTM .. haha ..

i din know tat i was capable in handling all tis ..
tat i'm proud to say now tat .. i'm doing really well ^^
i met a lot of new frens which i din know i will ..
i happy now in college life .. ^^

Thinking back.

Hey hey.

This is only my 2nd time posting here as I usually blog on my own blogspot. wtf self-publicity. haha. Anyways, I guess everyone's relieved and saddened perhaps (?) that Semester 1 is coming to an end. Honestly, I've never been involved in creative situations as much as I had since the beginning of this course. The only time I would pick up a brush and really paint or produce something close to art is during my Pendidikan Seni classes, which was held ONCE a week. Haha lame no?

At times I felt like I was the weakling in the class as I got rejected for some assignments more than twice. But one thing I learnt from having to redo those works is to presevere and pay close attention to details. It's real hard work being in a design course, no doubt about that. There were times that I was so close to giving up and I'm sure all of us have went through this phase. But at the same time, there's this feeling of satisfaction, a perfect gratification everytime I produced something that was commendable, something that fits the criterias set by the lecturers. And I go, "Wow, I can actually do this." haha.

My drawing skills have definitely improved all thanks to Mr. Ernesto. And thanks to Mr. Charles, I always think thoroughly before I start an assignment - mainly to produce a great piece of art, and also partially to avoid redoing it HAHAHA. Mostly I think about CLOSURE, because I think it's a really cool concept. Finally, gracias to Ms. Chee for teaching us on the different methods of thinking creatively..in Creative Thinking classes. ...duh. Especially the Psychology-Teamwork-thingy. haha. Friends - I have definitely found here. Those days we bust our ass off meeting deadlines are always to be remembered. And I'm looking forward for next semester!

rite,, evryone noe wat design means,,
but,, not evryone noe,,
da feelin,, working inside a design area,,
like us,, design school,,

through out da whole sem1,,
i really enlightened 2 so much thing,,
like being "wrong" other than being right,,
n,, we must take risk,, to produce an original idea,,

actually,, i figure out sometin about myself,,
dat i like to do sometin simple,,
but,, u can see a clear message behind it,,
so,, i could say dat my style is SIMPLE,,

well,, alot of things dat ive never expected,,
such as,, so many projects,,
neat,,
sleepless,,
n lots more,,
but 1 thing i get,, dat these has change me alot,,
not only on how i think,,
but also the way i act in facing life,,
once u get ur assignment straight away do,,
DONT waste any time,,

over all,, i love to be in this design schooll,,

Well, actually, i really learn a lot of new stuffs n keep getting new experiences everyday~
Now i truuuly understand n feel the pressure n stress in the whole progress.
It's unbelievable that i manage to finish all of the assignments O_O yay~
there's 1 thing i reaaally have to keep in mind - no more delay n last minute work!!!

Us, with the Northumbria University's lecturers.

I know this is quite some time ago but I haven found the right time to blog here. Hee.

Right now, I bet most of us are struggling because its the last week of the semester, and it means we need to submit all our work by next week. Plus exams from our LAN subjects, presentations & yada yada. For sure its not easy.

But throughout this whole 3 months, we've learn a whole lot of new things & we definitely see things in a different way. Honestly, I have never felt myself being his hardworking(if you count me as one :P) even during my final exams. & the satisfactory I've earn after all the hard work was so worth it. I've been to drawing classes but it never seemed like the Fundamental Drawing we have in Taylor's, probably some parts may seem alike but most of it, was still like a whole new subject to me. The most simple example I can give is the SIZE of the paper we used to draw O.O

Last but not least, I love the whole class because they never fail to make me laugh merely the whole time ._. Also, we tend to work along together, we click & yeah. We "don't" fight :D
